Child Safety is #1
Window treatments you manufacture on or after June 1, 2024 must comply with
ANSI.WCMA A100.1-2022 as follows:
It is your responsibility as fabricators of window coverings to ensure your products meet the current standards.
Free-hanging pull cords are not allowed on roman shades, i.e. no cord locks, pulleys, condensers or cleats.
Continuous cord loop clutches, i.e. our VAKO 20.04, are allowed. A proper hold-down device must be installed on all corded window coverings so that continuous cord loops are under tension. The device must prohibit operation if a user attempts to remove it.
Retractable clutches, i.e. our Coulisse Twin Pull, must have a wand or other rigid user-interface. No bead chain or cord pull tassels.
Lift cords on the back of shades must not create a hazardous loop, per current standard. You must select the best method for your project.
All labeling requirements set forth in the most current standard must be followed.
